Let me tell you something about Alex Gaskarth. We were best friends on Warped Tour 07. I know, right? It’s so embarrassing. I don’t even… Whatever. So then on the Believers Never Die Tour, I started going out with my first boyfriend Jack Barakat who was totally gorgeous but then he moved to Maryland, and Alex was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like, if I would blow him off to go watch Cobra Starship with Jack, he’d be like, “Why didn’t you call and ask me to hang out with you and jack?” And I’d be like, “Why are you so obsessed with him?” So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-people pool party, I was like, “Alex, I can’t invite you, because I think you’re gay.” I mean I couldn’t have a gay person at my party. There were gonna be guys there in their *bathing suits*. I mean, right? He was GAY. So then his mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so retarded. And then he dropped out of the Glamour Kills Tour because no one would talk to him, and he came back in the fall for the Straight To DVD release party, all of his hair was blond and he was totally weird, and now I guess he’s on crack.
ahaha. i love this. so creative. thanks for makin me laugh, ATL Secrets
so, pretty much every post has actually been All Time Low related so far. can’t help it. i just love those guys. their music and sound is incredible.
in light of that, let me take a minute to type out the other bands I totally flip shit for:
We The Kings: just met these guys like, 3 weeks ago. nicest. people. ever. no joke. i got monster hugs from each of them (2 from Travis!) their music is so happy and uplifting, and they as people are too.
There For Tomorrow: wow. insanely good. Maika writes gorgeous lyrics and sings so well. Chris kills it on the drums. Christian rocks so hard, and Jay just gives off such a cool vibe. Love these guys. Saw them live last November (they were the selling point in the show i went to seeing as they were’t the headliner) and am sooo sad that the venue i saw them at is hosting them once again, but i can’t go. family party and all…
Forever The Sickest Kids: their music is so dance-y and fun, and they give some of the funniest interviews. they always seem to get distracted by something. like the idea of Kent fitting into a build-a-bear tshirt. Saw them 4th of July weekend, drove the 2 hours to Indianapolis, sweated it out 2 hours outside before the show in order to be as close as possible and then continued to sweat at the hottest indoor venue i’ve ever been in. These guys are so worth it. They get so into it and put on an amazing show.
The Ready Set: Jordan is amazing. had the pleasure of seeing him with FTSK and fell in love immediately. so good live. dances. sings. flips his hair. an all around good time. every song he writes is catchy, but my personal favorites are “Limits” and “The Ghost of Los Angeles.”
So, there are so many more that i think i’ll just list. the above 4 are currently up there with All Time Low in a 5 way tie for favorite band. yeah, 5. way. tie. it’s that intense.
But, i do also looove:
Fall Out Boy
Panic! At the Disco
We Are The In Crowd
Never Shout Never
Artist vs. Poet
Hit The Lights
Sparks the Rescue
Phone Calls From Home
The Summer Set
Let’s Get It
Late Night Habit
yeah…and a bunch more. (p.s. these are in no particular favorites order. it’s just the order in which i thought of them)
